This role is within a prominent global manufacturing company in the automotive industry, renowned for our commitment to excellence and innovation. As we continue to expand our operations across borders, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join the finance team. This role is integral to the financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes, ensuring that we maintain financial transparency and efficiency in a dynamic global environment.
Position Summary:
The Management Accounting is to analyse and accurately interpret recent and present operational accounting data in order to assist Management to facilitate the planning and business development process based on reliable, factual data that can be
extrapolated to assist in any scenario planning process to drive business outcomes.
Cost Analysis and Control:
- Conduct detailed cost analysis for manufacturing processes, identifying areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvement.
- Implement and maintain effective cost control measures to ensure financial targets are met.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets, providing insightful variance analysis and recommendations.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial trends.
- Ensure compliance with international accounting standards and company policies.
Product Costing:
- Work closely with the product development and manufacturing teams to accurately determine product costs and contribute to pricing strategies.
- Analyze the profitability of individual products and recommend adjustments as necessary.
Variance Analysis:
- Conduct regular variance analysis for manufacturing operations, investigating and explaining any significant discrepancies.
- Collaborate with operational teams to implement corrective actions where needed.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance function and actively contribute to the implementation of streamlined processes.
- Leverage technology and automation tools to enhance efficiency.
Ad-hoc Analysis:
- Undertake ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required by senior management.
- Provide decision support through financial modeling and scenario analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant, preferably in the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in financial modeling and analysis, with advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably in a manufacturing context.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
