Talent Acquisition Officer - Western Suburb Council 

• Previous experience in Talent Acquisition or Recruitment Coordination essential
• 3-month temporary contract | Western suburbs location

Are you an organised and customer focused recruitment professional looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Officer to join a busy and collaborative People & Capability team within a leading local government organisation.

This is an excellent short term opportunity to support end to end recruitment coordination while working closely with hiring managers and candidates to ensure a smooth and positive recruitment experience.

Reporting into the Talent Acquisition team, you will play a key role in supporting recruitment processes across permanent, temporary and contract positions while ensuring compliance, strong stakeholder engagement and efficient administration across the recruitment lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high quality administrative and functional support across the recruitment lifecycle
• Coordinate recruitment activities and support hiring managers throughout the process
• Ensure a positive candidate experience through clear and consistent communication
• Manage recruitment administration including data entry, reporting and documentation
• Monitor agency engagement and temporary employment services to ensure compliance with internal standards
• Support pre-employment compliance and ensure all recruitment activities align with Council policies and legislation
• Assist with improving recruitment processes and contributing to ongoing service improvements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in Talent Acquisition, recruitment coordination or HR administration is a must.
• Experience working with candidates and stakeholders in a fast-paced recruitment environment
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks
• Previous council experience is desirable
• High level of discretion, professionalism and confidentiality
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
