About the Company

This large organisation within the Transportation sector is currently looking for a Program Delivery of Innovation. Working with the Innovation Manager to deliver the innovation program, targeting priority challenges/opportunities, developing proposals, supporting innovation initiatives, and identifying next steps to mainstream successful initiatives. You will be responsible for the management and successful completion of cross-functional activities leading to the delivery of Innovation Initiative. You will also manage stakeholder engagement within the innovation program and initiatives.


Key Accountabilities 

  • Support the delivery of the Innovation portfolio through collaboratively working with internal & external partners
  • Supporting the development of an actionable innovation program to deliver meaningful business impact. This includes providing inputs and research to assist the development of well-informed business cases to deliver improvements to the customer experience and operational safety and efficiency.
  • Identify and promote opportunities for innovation and technology to improve business operations and tackle challenges and ensuring connectivity with the innovation ecosystem
  • Lead and co-ordinate activities and stakeholders, from requirement capture/analysis through to implementation of initiatives and wider rollouts
  • Assist with preparing documents such as business cases, market reports, implementation reviews
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external staff
  • Work with the Innovation manager to undertake structured options analysis to inform strategies, including cost benefit analysis based on business and market intelligence from internal and external data sources (such as customer surveys, user panels, patronage counts, ticketing system information, revenue and farebox).
  • Participate in innovation squad and other cross-organisation discussions as appropriate to share learnings with the broader organisation and shape our product and service direction
  • Navigate complex stakeholder, commercial and regulatory environments in order to realise the potential of innovation to enhance the delivery of improved safety, operational efficiency and operational performance


About You 

  • Experience with agile & waterfall project management
  • Strong track record of managing the involvement of diverse internal & external partners to successfully deliver initiatives.   
  • Prior experience in the field of transport or within an innovation role will be well regarded
  • Proven track record of working in innovative ways, piloting new approaches, tools and methodologies within an organisational context
  • A demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and perform under pressure in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Experience in supporting customer centred service co-design and/or agile processes with subject matter experts and customer groups will be highly regarded
  • Excellent people and stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels within the organisation.
