Job description
- NSW State Government
- Senior Manager Asset Accounting
- 6 months Contract
- $800- $900 daily plus super
- 40 hours weekly, CBD, Hybrid
Ensure that asset accounting and reporting is accurate and compliant and to work closely and support the financial reporting team in preparation of the annual financial statements and other internal and external reporting obligations.
Manage and lead the Fixed Asset Accounting team, via a team-work approach to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the Asset / Depreciation accounts, including their projections.
Ensure compliance with asset capitalisation and valuation policies, and the relevant regulatory requirements.
Facilitate effective interactions with relevant asset / project / business managers to confirm the integrity of asset data, including the existence and review of their useful lives.
Essential requirements & Knowledge:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience and professional membership with either the CPA Australia (CPA) or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ).
- Extensive experience in government sector accounting, in particularly assets accounting and valuations
