Job description

The Administration & Project Officer is a pivotal role to support this healthcare organisation. This centre supports with research and training pertaining to Palliative care and is based on the outskirts of the CBD. This role will be integral to the running and organizing of research and education sessions and requires a very competent, proactive & experienced administrator. 

Responsibilities will include;

  • Assisting with the day to day functioning of the office including managing incoming calls and reception front desk
  • Project support, ensuring organisation of meetings and events - preparing agendas, minutes, venues and catering
  • Managing a wide range of administrative tasks including event marketing, assembling resource packs and handling registrations
  • Conducting diary management across the centre, ensuring smooth running of events and meetings
  • Acting as OHS/ Area Warden and undertaking necessary training for this  


To be successful in this role;

  • Previous experience working in health, university or educational environment
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, assisting with general functioning of the office from administrative & project perspective
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to adopt a high degree of confidentiality when handling sensitive information
  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite and Outlook
  • A qualification in Business or Health Administration would be desirable
