Financial Administration Officer – Contract position- $35 to $45 + super
- ASAP start - 19/12/2025
- 40 hours per week
- Hybrid working arrangements - 3 days in the office minimum
- A police check and two reference checks will be conducted for the successful candidate after the interview stage
Our client is a NSW Government Department and they are seeking an experienced Financial Administration Officer to join their team on an 5-6 month contract. The role is primarily responsible for the coordination of a range of activities that support the financial activities to meet organisational and statutory objectives.
Duties and responsibilities for the role include:
- Assist in the accurate and timely delivery of various operational and financial activities, including raising invoices, purchase orders, and supporting month-end tasks such as journal preparation, to achieve organisational and statutory objectives and reporting outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with team members to support policies, programs and documentation that guide internal customers in the implementation of effective financial management, in accordance with legislation and related business reforms.
- Review and monitor financial systems and databases to generate accurate reports that provide valuable insights and support informed decision-making for staff, management, and external stakeholders.
- Access financial systems to investigate and resolve and customers’ operational issues and to maintain the integrity of corporate databases
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Accounting and/or equivalent workplace experience.
- Experience working within local or state NSW Government (highly regarded)
