  • $31.00 + super ph  

 
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
Business Support 

  • Provide Justice of the Peace assistance to customers 
  • Provide a full range of administrative support and assistance (as directed) to the Mayor’s and General Manager’s Offices, whilst mainly working from the Community Service Centre
  • Provide excellent customer service delivery to the community 
  • Preparation of letter writing, whilst producing accurate word processing of these documents 
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a challenging environment and make decisions or resolve issues autonomously based on organisational policy and standards 
  • Provide support and relieve if required within the General Manager’s Department 
  • Administrative duties as required 

 
Customer Service 

  • Co-ordinate enquiries from internal and external customers including residents, business and other Councils and ensuring correct advice is given on Council operations 
  • Compliance with Council complaints management policy and procedures 
  • Oversee Customer service request processes and prioritise to ensure Council and department objectives are met 
  • Be responsive to and supportive of customer requests 
  • Assist with  service delivery issues by using a flexible approach to problem solving and by addressing individual customer concerns and expectations 
  • Provide assistance to staff on technical issues with administrative systems 

Essential 

  • Appropriate secretarial qualifications and/or equivalent experience  
  • Justice of the Peace Service (JP) 
  • Demonstrated and proven experience in providing high level customer service skills and a commitment to providing a superior customer experience to the community and Council  
  • Advanced interpersonal skills and the ability to act independently and manage confidential matters  
  • Strong computer skills including the Microsoft Office suite (Word,  TechnologyOne), Outlook and Council’s records management system  
  • Ability to balance conflicting priorities and to work to deadlines
