Job description
Our Client is seeking an experienced Virtualisation Engineer to join their teams where you will be involved in a large Cloud virtualisation project . With your proven experience within enterprise environments, you will be motivated to implement your skills across a range of IT systems with a heavy focus on Cloud Virtualisation and EUC.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain and support private cloud infrastructure leveraging VMware Horizon and SDDC product suite
- Implement sophisticated monitoring solutions across the VMware Horizon and SDDC product suite
- Be a subject matter expert for all Horizon virtual desktop related activities in the group
- Supporting large complex 24x7 production environments at enterprise level
- Design and implementation of VMware Horizon virtual desktop environments
- Providing Engineering support for Horizon and products from the VMware Software Defined Data Centre
- Automation, scripting (Powershell)
- Managing and supporting zero/thin client solutions
- Performing upgrades of Horizon and vSphere Infrastructure
Skills & knowledge required
- Enterprise experience supporting large complex 24x7 production
- Design and implementation experience with VMware Horizon virtual desktop environments
- Recent experience with providing Engineering support for Horizon and products from the VMware Software Defined Data Centre
- Demonstrable automation, scripting abilities
- Experience performing upgrades of Horizon and vSphere Infrastructure
- Network troubleshooting skills and integrations with SDN’s, firewalls and load balancers
