Job description

This local government authority based in the inner city suburbs are looking for someone to come on board and assist with administration tasks as well as some assistance with communications including proof reading and speech writing. The role will be mainly administrative but will sit in the communications department

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with invoicing of the communications department and ensuring these are loaded onto finance system
  • Preparing reports to share within the organisation
  • Maintaining databases and keeping information up to date
  • Contributing to materials for the intranet


You will:

  • Be confident dealing with systems in particular MS Office suite and TechOne (Financial)
  • Previous experience with MailChimp, Sprout Social and Meltwater
  • A recent qualification in communications and/or marketing 
  • Local government experience would be advantageous 
  • Great communication skills - both written and verbal
