Job description
An exciting opening for an experienced Credit Officer to join an established, close knit Finance Team for a leading Global FMCG brand in the Sydney CBD.
The role is a permanent full time opportunity located in modern offices right in the heart of the CBD near Wynyard. The company is a leader in the FMCG space and has a global reputation and one of the most recognisable brands in its market.
About the role
Working in a stable and established Credit Team, this opportunity will provide full support to reduce credit risk to the distribution company and manufacturing company partners. Responsibilities will include;
- Collecting outstanding invoices and resolving claims in a timely manner, achieving KPI’s
- Reconciliation and allocation of payments
- Ensure all accounts are kept within the trading terms
- Communicating and forwarding on of rebates and claims to relevant area
- Allocation of payments for national accounts
- Raising journals and reconciling to GL
- Assessment of customer credit and process new account applications
- Issue credit notes and complete reporting in line with compliance
- Assisting the team with ad hoc work as and when required
About you
- Experience working fast paced Credit Control and/or Accounts Receivable, 2+ years
- Previous FMCG/distribution industry experience will be highly regarded
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team and with various internal stakeholders
- Ability to think outside the box to work through problems and processes
- Knowledge of SAP preferable
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel
- Must be a Permanent Resident or Citizen to apply
