Job description

An exciting opportunity to work for a multifaceted, fast paced local government in a supportive environment based in the Northern suburbs. The role will work across the marketing and communications department and will assist with overall strategies and media. 


Responsibilities will include;  

  • Develop customer focused campaign strategies
  • Assisting with media training for staff across council to allow a consistent approach  
  • Liaise with key stakeholders and coordinate communications in other departments
  • Develop content and research new topics
  • Generate and analyse reports through key systems ascertaining media activities and coverage  
  • Initiating and implementing marketing and communications strategies for Council’s key initiatives 


To be successful in this role;  

  • Ability to advise and support with a range of key communications projects 
  • ​​​​​​​Demonstrated knowledge and experience in a similar role, delivering strategies within media and marketing communications
  • Ability to work to deadlines and excellent time management skills  
  • Strong communication skills and high level of attention to detail  
  • ​​​​​​​Current Victorian driver’s licence
