Job description

Based in Melbourne's Western suburbs, the role will report to the Manager of Risk & Performance. The primary function of the role is to assist with the day to day administrative support in the Risk & Performance unit. 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Promote a safe working environment and monitoring compliance with legislative requirements
  • Helping to maintain OHS records, workers compensation, risk management and emergency management
  • Maintaining and ensuring database is up to date concerning all matters of health and safety and producing reports as required
  • Assisting with internal reporting measures as well as processing invoices and purchase orders 
  • Liaising with staff on an ongoing basis regarding health, safety and environment including making recommendations and promoting training

 
To be successful in this role:

  • You will have worked in a fast paced administration role previously 
  • Previous experience in injury management/ return to work would be advantageous 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience within local government would be advantageous
