Payroll Administrator - Education Sector - Temporary Part Time - Possible longer term role 

About the Company 

My client, a large education provider based in East Melbourne (close to CBD), requires an experienced Payroll Administrator to support the Payroll Lead in their busy role responsible for the payroll of over 500 employees for the next 4-6 weeks, with the possibility of longer term permanent employment.  You will be working in a long established organisation whose main mission is to equip young people with the knowledge, skills and hope to live meaningful lives and enrich the world around them.

About the role: (not limited to)

  • Monitor and organise the internal emails regards Payroll queries using MS Outlook 
  • Updating the database of personal information for new and existing employees
  • Creating journals 
  • Data Entry 
  • Other general payroll admin support to the Payroll Lead

You will have:

  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills 
  • Organised, logical and methodical approach
  • Microsoft Outlook and Excel skills
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • The ability to stay calm under pressure
  • The ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal form
  • Warm and patient approach when dealing with stakeholders
  • Payroll admin experience or keen interest in this area
