  • Work from home, CBD location upon return to office.   


A chance to be part of a leading Melbourne Public Transportation’s established PMO for a role suited for a candidate who thrives on PMO administration & Reporting.  The primary focus of this role is to work closely with Program Managers and Team Leaders in successfully delivering the project portfolio across IT projects.  It’s an exciting opportunity to further develop your career with a community-focused organisation; working with stakeholders across the business and making a tangible difference.   

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Work as part of the PMO Planning & Reporting Team, supporting the team’s planning, reporting, procurement and document administration for the PMO.  

  • Enable and deliver PMO activities.  

  • Core responsibility for project tracking and reporting – compiling project status updates from project managers and providing this information in monthly reporting cycles.   

  • Contribute to PMO planning and scheduling to support resource management and ease of access of the program schedule.   

  • You will play a key role in administration and document control, including the use of SharePoint for the PMO.   

  • Responsibility for financial management and forecasting of PMO costs, ensuring accuracy of data and that project costs are within budget. 

  • Support both cyclical and ad-hoc analysis and reporting of project performance, costings, maintenance activities, and asset performance. 

  • Ensure compliance by Project Managers to internal project governance processes and frameworks, particularly around documentation. 

  • Liaise with key internal stakeholders (e.g. Team Leads, Project Managers) and engage with them as issues arise. 

  • Continuous improvement of best practice within the PMO. 
     

Your Key Skills Required: 

  • In-depth PMO administration experience – minimum 3-years.  

  • Proven track record in reporting and performance analysis across project portfolios, including adhering to project governance standards. 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 

  • You are hands-on with key stakeholder relationships to gather information, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.   

  • You have used Excel before as a reporting tool.  

  • You have experience with budget and financial reporting 

  • Ability to generate reporting and governance materials to stakeholders at various levels.
