The Opportunity

Successful, established Chartered practice located in the CBD are looking for an experienced accountant to join their 3 Director firm. Providing a supportive and rewarding culture, the firm will provide on-going training and development opportunities as well as access to challenging advisory work. Work directly with ex BIG 4 Partners who will share their extensive knowledge with you giving you the opportunity to develop your career further.  

Their client base varies from small to medium businesses, manufacturers, primary production and professional and service industries. You will be main point of contact for an allocated client portfolio and your duties would include, but not be limited to:

  • Preparing annual financial statements and tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnership, SMEs and HNVIs
  • Preparation of BAS/IAS, FBT returns, Payroll Tax Reconciling accounts and maintaining clients asset registers and journals
  • Assist in tax planning and various compliance
  • Reporting into a Partner, this role will involve hands-on business services compliance in conjunction with other Accountants within the team
  • Liaising with the ATO, OSR and other regulatory bodies in relation to client's tax affairs
  • Assisting managers and partners to provide efficient, timely and quality service   


About You 

  • 4 + years’ experience in Business Services/Tax
  • CA/CPA Part/Qualified
  • Experience with dealing with clients directly
  • Ability to manage own chunk of fees
