Charterhouse are partnered with one of our long-standing clients who are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their growing team based in the heart of North Sydney. The partners are Ex-top 10 meaning they have excellent processes in place. This firm has the backing of a global organisation; this is an exceptional opportunity to join a respected and forward-thinking team.
About the role
You will work closely with a successful leadership team, and you will manage your own diverse portfolio of clients, including some with turnovers exceeding $200m, as well as international clients and complex multi-entity groups.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing financial statements and taxation returns for companies, partnerships, trusts, and individuals
- Assisting with taxation issues, including GST, CGT, FBT, and Div7
- Preparing and lodging Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS)
- Managing client portfolio, interactions and responsibilities
- Mentoring and training junior staff members
- 3+ years of experience in Business Services
- Proficiency with Xero
- Completed or currently studying towards your CA/CPA qualification
- A strong understanding of tax and accounting fundamentals
