Accounts Payable Officer | Brisbane Inner Suburbs | Permanent Opportunity | Construction & Development SectorWe are currently partnering with a well-established and respected organisation within the construction and residential development industry, seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their high-performing finance team based in Brisbane.
This is an excellent opportunity for an AP professional who thrives in a fast-paced, project-based environment and is looking for long-term career stability within a supportive and reputable business.
The Role Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for the full-function processing of supplier and subcontractor invoices, ensuring the timely and accurate management of accounts payable processes across multiple business units.
Key responsibilities will include:
- End-to-end processing of high-volume supplier and subcontractor invoices
- Matching purchase orders, verifying approvals, and coding to correct cost centres
- Reconciliation of supplier statements and resolution of discrepancies
- Preparing payment runs and managing payment schedules
- Responding to internal and external queries in a professional and timely manner
- Supporting the month-end close and reporting process
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies
About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A proven track record in an Accounts Payable or Finance Officer role
- Previous exposure to the construction, property development, or project-based sectors (advantageous)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., MYOB Advanced, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach with strong organisational skills
