Job description
- Initial 4 month contract with potential to extend and perm opportunities available
- Paying up to $1300 per day + super (7 hr day)
- Based in Lismore, open to flexible arrangements
Lead the development and application of innovative and best practice community resilience for this NSW Government Agency.
About the role:
- Lead the development and application of innovative and best practice community resilience and engagement approaches for a sustainable, resilient future
- Work closely with councils to develop plans and master plans for areas impacted by floods
- Be involved in community awareness and preparedness campaigns, and a structured approach to community-led place-based adaptation planning.
- Lead development of a baseline socio-spatial picture of the Northern Rivers region
- Lead and oversee all aspects of project development and implementation across the community resilience program including preparing business cases and project plans
- Develop and manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Manage three people: policy & project officers
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience in Government. (Local, State of Federal)
- Experience in climate adaptation, risk reduction, environmental science, general science, social science and geography all highly desirable
