The Culture & Capability Lead (Coordinator) will oversee and implement strategies to enhance organizational culture, capability, and diversity initiatives. This role involves managing key diversity and inclusion activities and providing expert advice to foster a respectful and inclusive workplace.
This is a full-time, ongoing role, working Monday – Friday. The organisation operates a hybrid model, working 3 days in the office and 2 from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage organizational development, learning and development, and diversity and inclusion activities.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance cultural safety, respect, and diversity within the organization.
- Provide expert advice on people and culture policies, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
- Lead the development of initiatives that improve the experience of staff from diverse backgrounds, including people with disabilities, older and younger workers, culturally diverse backgrounds, LGBTIQ+ individuals, Aboriginal people, and women.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external organizations to progress workforce strategies and initiatives.
- Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and correspondence on diversity and inclusion issues.
- Tertiary qualifications in Organizational Development/Change, Human Resources, or a related field, with extensive experience in a similar role.
- Proven leadership experience with strong project and people management skills.
- Exceptional communication skills with experience in consultation, coaching, and group facilitation.
- Well-developed research skills and an ability to translate research and ideas into practical and tangible outcomes, and project plans.
- Demonstrated affinity with and knowledge across the full suite of equity issues combined with the commitment and capacity to support workforce diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Experience developing workforce programs, policies and/or strategies in line with evidence-based best practice.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to influence and build collaborative partnerships.
- Commitment to supporting workforce diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
