Finance Administration Assistant - Local Government

  • Immediate start, initial 2 month contract with view to extend
  • $43 per hour + super
  • Seven Hills location
  • Full time, Monday to Friday
  • Drivers licence required

We are seeking an experienced Administration professional with finance experience for an initial 2 month contract with potential to extend. You will be working in a friendly and supportive team, to assist with ensuring the administration requirements of selected Long Daycare Centres, Preschools, Outside of School Hours (OOSH) Centres and any other associated services.

Day to day responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Process advance accounts, commitment/purchasing order requisitions, accounts payable, petty cash reimbursements, refunds of overpaid childcare fees
  • Maintain income and expenditure records of services, fundraising income and expenditure records
  • Records and database management
  • Customer phone and counter enquiries (internal/external)
  • Monitor fee arrears to ensure levels of arrears are maintained at a minimum
  • Assist distribution of courier bag contents
  • Time sheet processing
  • Other ad-hoc administration tasks as required

  • Previous experience with TechOne is highly beneficial
  • Previous experience in local Government is preferred but not essential
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Great attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong administration skills
  • Experience in Childcare or Education sector is also beneficial
