About the company  

 

Working with a leading disability service with a global presence. Currently looking for a Governance Officer to support the Company Secretary with Board and Committee support duties.  

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist the Scope Group Company Secretary with various tasks including preparing Board and Committee materials, organizing meetings and events, and maintaining corporate registers. 
  • Coordinate logistics for Board and Committee meetings, including travel arrangements and technology setup. 
  • Manage content on Board Management Software platform, Diligent, and other technology systems. 
  • Support induction of new Board and Committee Members and arrange professional development activities. 
  • Provide administrative support to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance. 
  • Support general meetings and membership activities. 
  • Provide operational support to the Company Secretary and Assistant Company Secretary as required. 

About you: 

  • Previous experience in governance or Company Secretariat roles is highly essential 
  • Preferably in disability, not-for-profit organizations, education – not crucial 
  • Experience working with Committee and Boards, with strong stakeholder management skills. 
  • Ideally proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Acrobat, Diligent  
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. 
  • Initiative and ability to work independently, personable, engaging, and adaptable to changing demands. 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders. 
  • Genuine interest in human services or health-related industries. 
  • Must have (or be willing to obtain) clearances: NDIS clearance check, Working with Children's check.
