Prestigious education body based in the southeastern suburbs | $115K - $122K + super + benefits | Reporting directly into the Director of People & Culture- Prestigious education body based in the East | Full-time permanent role
- Hands-on HR generalist role reports to the Director of People & Culture and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the College’s HR Operations across the full employee life cycle
- Flexible start & finish times | 1 day per week working from home
Our client is a prestigious education body is looking for a HR Manager to join their people and culture department. You will be reporting directly to the Director of People and Culture and will have one direct report in a HR Coordinator. The people and culture department are very collaborative and foster an inclusive forward-thinking culture.
This is a full-time permanent role but flexibility can be offered around start and finish times or should you wish to work 0.8 FTE.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Provide specialised HR support, guidance and solutions to leaders, managers and staff on all HR matters
- Provide staff with a seamless HR service experience
- Provide legally accurate and commercially astute solutions for people related challenges
- Expertly manage grievances and enforce HR policies and practices
- Continuously improve and maintain the smooth running of HR support services, systems, and processes
- Provide legally accurate and commercially astute advice on the interpretation of employment legislation and industrial instruments, including the Enterprise Agreements and modern awards
- Assist the Director of People & Culture with the development, consultation and implementation of major organisational changes
- Mange and support the HR Advisor who will directly report into you
- Relevant tertiary / post-graduate qualifications in Human Resources or equivalent tertiary qualification
- Senior HR professional with proven experience in a managerial role
- Proven HR experience with a focus on Employee Relations / Industrial Relations (ER/IR)
- Strong understanding of employment laws, industrial relations practices, Enterprise Agreements, relevant awards and child safety standards
- Experience in an educational environment would be an advantage, but not essential
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
