Long contract in a Federal Government agency based in Melbourne for an Infrastructure Solution Architect
An Australian Government NV1 clearance is required for this role
Responsibilities
The Infrastructure Solution Architect (Virtualisation) will work with the Project Manager, Principal Architect, Vendor and internal SMEs to deliver high quality artefacts that align with reference architecture, build team and user requirements.
- Work through the design approval process including responding to feedback and suggested revisions
- Infrastructure solution design
- Contributing to establishment of significant stakeholder engagement, both online and face to face
- Previous experience in Virtualised Network design using technology such as VMWare, Docker, Kubernetes
- Exploring approaches that both satisfy requirements and work within constraints
- Recommending and documenting an approach, plus recording other approaches considered, in accordance with a template
- Formulating and documenting a detailed design in accordance with a template
- Provide advice and clarification as the project progresses
Skills
- Previous experience in Virtualised Network design using technology such as VMWare, Docker, Kubernetes
- Hands on physical infrastructure architecture experience including iPaaS, Gateways, and related technologies (firewalls, API gateways etc.)
- General understanding and awareness of computation and data analytics platforms, directory services, protected network design and cybersecurity (eg. ISM, IRAP, ASD Essential 8, PSPF)
- Experience with network design, virtualisation, capacity and performance
- Exposure to Midrange and High-Performance Computing computational and data analytics platforms
- Experience with deployable networks and related technologies
- Experience producing architecture technology roadmaps
- Directory, identity and access management services (eg. Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, Azure Active Directory, ADFS, SAML, OAuth, MFA, etc )
- Australian Government NV1 clearance is required
