Role Summary
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced FP&A Manager to lead the financial planning and performance analysis function within a large and complex organisation. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will oversee budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting while managing a small team responsible for supporting operational stakeholders.
This position will play a key role in strengthening financial insights across the organisation, supporting long-term planning and ensuring strong financial governance.
About the Role
- Lead the organisation’s budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning processes
- Manage and mentor a small FP&A team, ensuring high-quality analysis and reporting
- Deliver meaningful financial insights and performance reporting to senior leadership
- Partner with operational leaders to support strategic and operational decision-making
- Provide detailed variance analysis, financial modelling and scenario planning
- Support capital planning and long-term financial sustainability initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, reporting and planning processes
- Contribute to the development of financial strategies that support organisational objectives
- CA or CPA qualified
- Demonstrated experience within FP&A, financial planning or management accounting roles
- Experience leading or mentoring finance staff
- Strong capability across budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
- Ability to translate financial data into clear insights for non-finance stakeholders
- Experience operating within complex or regulated environments (local government, public sector or NFP experience advantageous)
