Education body based in Melbourne’s northern suburbs | $90 - $95,000 + super | Reporting into the Director of Operations

About the company:
Our client an education body, based in the northern suburbs are looking for a risk and compliance coordinator to join their operations team. You will be reporting directly into the Director of Operations and working alongside two other risk and compliance officers. You will oversee and maintain the risk management system to ensure they are kept up to date with current legislation and regulatory obligations. You will also provide training for the wider organisation on managing risk and generally improving efficiency. The role is full-time and is based on site.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the alignment of the internal governance, risk and compliance frameworks with the overall strategic objectives.
- Providing support to key stakeholders in relation to related laws and regulations
- Promote a culture of risk and compliance awareness by focussing on education and training
- Induct new starters on emergency management plans
- Run training sessions on best practice
- Support with the development and enhancement of risk management frameworks and policies
- Conduct audits to ensure all information is kept up to date
- Incident management
- Alongside the HR Manager support with return-to-work plans
- Adhoc duties and projects as required
You will have the following:
- Bachelor degree in Occupational Health & Safety and/or Risk Management, or other related discipline.
- Previous experience managing an Enterprise Risk Management, compliance and incident reporting system.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and guidelines
- Experience working in the education sector or a highly regulated environment is highly desirable
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and demonstrated experience of coaching and influencing people
