This rapidly growing Australian business is looking to grow their finance team by recruiting an experience, Senior Accountant. About the role
- Prepare accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance
- Oversee maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording and classification of all financial transactions
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring budget variances, and explaining significant differences
- Coordinate and prepare for internal and external audits, providing auditors with necessary documentation and explanations
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, preparing and filing tax returns and related documentation
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Identify and implement best practices and efficiencies in financial operations
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, focusing on financial reporting
- CA/CPA qualified
- Experienced working as a senior accountant or finance manager
- Strong technical ability and commercial acumen
- Clear communicator (written and verbal)
