A widely known private health organization that supports its patients extensively and has a training environment that is happy to take on an experienced collections officer with perfect communication skills to join their AR team for a short period of time.

The Role

They are in urgent need of temp staff for 4 months starting ASAP to help with debt backlog. As it’s a health organization, they are looking for candidates with sector experience and is ideally familiar with health funds.

Duties:

  • Manage debt collection activities and mitigate risks associated with non-payment for the debtor ledgers 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Work with health funds that owe the business considerable amounts of debt
  • Follow up on refund checks for patients and clients
  • Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to the wider business streams and external customers enquiries  
  • Identify and escalate issues as required  
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders  
  • Display a proactive approach and drive new ideas Credit Officer
  • Develop strategies and action plans to meet and achieve team targets  

The ideal Candidate 

  • Experience as a collections/credit officer in a hospital or health organization
  • Demonstrate great time management skills
  • Adaptability
  • Perfect communication skills
  • Knowledge of health funds and health lingo/terminology
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Think outside the box and possess strong relationship building skills 

Essential skills required:

  • Previous experience in a similar environment 
  • Excellent time management skills  
  • Negotiation, influencing and decision-making skills
