Job description

I am currently working with a large Building Supplies company based out of Western Sydney. They are looking for a Credit Officer to join for a 12 month FTC Maternity Cover. The team is dynamic and ambitious with a clear passion for building an efficient and value-adding finance function. You will be reporting into the National Credit Manager for the duration of the assignment.
 
 
About You:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Credit/collections role
  • Excellent Negotiation skills
  • Excellent customer Service skills
  • Excellent Verbal, non-verbal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing monthly financial reports, variations to budget and forecasts
  • Strong attention to detail

About the Role:

  • Follow established procedures and guidelines to collect credit information, maintain accurate records and collect overdue accounts to minimise outstanding debts
  • Investigate the credit worthiness of potential customers for submission to those authorising accounts
  • Verify credit references so that applications can be accurately processed
  • Prepare reports on the status of credit and collection activities to minimise outstanding debt
  • Explains Discrepancies noted in exception reports compiled from current operations
