  • Contract day rate $750 - 790 per day

A fantastic opportunity to work within Melbourne’s highest Project Management Office within the Local Government sector.  Their multi-year digital transformation program has seen them push the tech boundaries within the sector as they have emerged as an industry leader, picking up various awards along the way.   

We are searching for a Project Manager with significant experience around PC roll-outs and PC refresh projects in both the commercial and public sectors.  The role will be based entirely within the Local Council’s jurisdiction in the Eastern Suburbs, and an initial 6-month contract will be offered with an eye for extension.   

 

About the role: 

  • End to end management for the replacement or major upgrade of existing PC’s.   

  • Leading operations in the Program Office, managing projects of varying sizes and complexities.  

  • Utilise Change Management principles to drive acceptance of the project across the organisation.   

  • Developing project scope and deliverables, providing regular status reports.   

  • Risk and impact mitigation.  

  • Provide effective framework and assessment tools.  

  • Strategic resource management; meeting various on-time deadlines and budgets.  

  • Maximise stakeholder relations; liaising with internal and external stakeholders.   
     

Required Skills & Experience: 

  • Minimum 5-years Project Management experience. 

  • PC Roll outs and PC Refresh project experience is a must. 

  • Tertiary qualification is required. 

  • Project Management certification is required, such as Diploma, CPPM, PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent.   

  • Understanding of service management and delivery methodologies such as ITIL. 

  • Diverse background in technology and business-focused projects. 

  • Excellent written and communication skills. 

  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills. 

  • Strong soft-skills and an ability to work with organisation members at all levels. 

  • Professional experience in both the Public and Commercial sectors is advantageous.
