About the Role
Payroll Processing
- Process monthly, fortnightly and weekly payrolls in accordance with procedure and deadlines
- Ensure that procedures are followed for accurately documenting and processing payroll related information for employees
- Follow procedures for cross-checking payroll information to ensure accurate processing
- Investigate concerns raised in relation to payroll processing and follow up to ensure any necessary corrections/adjustments are made
- Ensure individual employees are allocated to the correct classes for leave accrual purposes
- Perform month end payroll related journals
Payroll reporting
- Ensure payroll reports and summaries are prepared in accordance with deadlines, policy and procedure
- Prepare additional reports as requested, including reports for reporting to international country’s
- Assist with the accurate production and reconciliation of annual payment summaries in accordance with the deadlines and requirements
- Assist with the reconciliation of payroll related accounts to ensure accuracy
- Assist in the preparation of the annual Payroll Tax return as directed
- Complete Australian Bureau of Statistics and other regular reports as required
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in using payroll systems (Ascender Pay System is desirable)
- SAP, CHRIS 21 experience is advantageous
- Kronos (Time 4 Attendance)
- 3-6 years’ experience in end to end payroll processing.
- Aware of legislation and statutory requirements in regard to payroll processing
- Excel (intermediate)
