About the Company
This large organisation within the Education sector who assist schools to build teaching and leadership capabilities in communities of professionals are currently looking for a Project manager to work for a 6-month engagement, which could further extend longer.
Duties:
- Management of ICT projects of various complexities, on time, within budget and to the quality standard specified by the sponsor
- Provision of status reports and advice to the IT Services management, committees and sponsors
- Assist with the development of contract, test plans, communication plans and implementation plan
Key Criteria
- Ability to manage complex ICT systems and services projects from initiation through to implementation on time and on budget using best practice project management principles
- Well-developed interpersonal skills including:
- Demonstrated ability to develop a business case for procurement of ICT systems and services
- Highly developed analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills with the ability to initiate creative and practical solutions
- Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of technical teams, customers, vendors and business stakeholders across multiple organisations.
Their Objectives
- Work with vendors to coordinate and agree on scheduling, logistics and acceptance to achieve project outcomes
- Establish and maintain positive customer experiences through excellent engagement and communication
- Provision of end-to-end management of ICT projects
- Practice and maintain a standard project methodology for the company’s projects
- Manage development of relevant IT system guidelines and documentation
Experience Needed
- 5 years project management experience on IT infrastructure projects
- Experience in writing business cases for ICT projects
- Experience with procuring and delivering data carriage and cyber security services across a large branch network
- Experience delivering projects in a complex network and customer service environment
- PMBOK, Prince2 or Agile certification, or similar
- Vendor management desirable
