• $760 + Super per day 

• Great location in the heart of Geelong 

• 6-month contract with likely extension 

This is a fantastic opportunity for any Geelong-based Project Managers who have implemented Data platforms in the past to be part of a new cutting edge technology program as part of the organisation’s wide-sweeping transform program.   

We are searching for an experienced Project Manager who has had in-depth experience implementing major Data Analytics foundation platforms. In this role you will work as part of a dynamic and agile team revolutionalising the way the organisation  utilises data moving forward to make more data-driven decisions.   

About the role: 

• Work as part of an agile project team to implement the data analytics foundation platform.   

• As part of the small project team, you will be required to work in an interdependent way – communication and status reporting will be key.   

• Take a lead role in liaising with vendors to derive the most out of those relationship, demonstrating your experience in dealing with matters of procurement.   

• Manage these vendors in order to negotiate, influence and manage to statements of work.   

• Work as part of a complex established PMO, adhering to established project frameworks and methodologies.   

• Open channels of communication and engage with senior non-technical stakeholders within the organisation.   

• Apply principles of Change and Release management procedures.   

Required Skills & Experience: 

• Experience implementing Data Analytics platforms is essential. 

• Exceptional vendor management capabilities to manage multiple vendors concurrently. 

• Over 7 years demonstrated project experience delivering complex solutions in an agile environment.   

• A proven track record in working on transformation projects as part of a PMO with a high degree of complexity.  

• In-depth understanding of Data Infrastructure on Cloud platforms.  

• In-depth understanding of Data and integrating third-party data to drive business insights and outcomes. 

• Previous exposure to Databricks as well as Power BI will be a major advantage.    

• Understanding of procurement processes and specifications for sensitive data.  

• You are not afraid to “get your hands dirty”. 

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.   

• Capable to work across various project methodologies with flavours of both Waterfall and Agile.  

• Relevant Project Management qualifications.
