About the Company:
Rapidly expanding construction based in French’s Forest.
About the Role:
Senior Accounts Officer/Bookkeeper needed on an initial period of 12 months on a fixed term contact basis.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Correct data entry of invoices from suppliers/Sub-contractors with correct GL codes
- Maintain an orderly filing system
- Assist with the compiling of Monthly Reports
- Improving the finance systems, processes and performance
- CRM input
- Reconciliation with Project Management software Liaising with the Internal staff and external contractors
- Record keeping – accurate records are maintained and secured
- Manage staff payroll, holiday and sick leave
- General Data Entry
- Assist with GST and Super reconciliation
- Assist with setting up building contracts for clients
- Assist with invoicing
- Assist with debtor control
- Inventory control and ordering
- Answering phones and assisting with general administration
The ideal candidate:
You will be a be a team player and be able to work effectively and cooperatively with others, establishing and maintaining good working relationships. You must have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent work ethic, be deadline focused and be able to work in a standalone capacity.
- Superior attention to detail and accuracy
- At least 5 years experience in a similar role
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Pro-active attitude
- MYOB and Excel skills
- Employment Hero experience
- Construction Industry experience
