Senior Building Officer

Job description

•             $45PH - $52PH+
•             North West Sydney Location
•             6 Month Contract

About the organisation:
Our client is one of the Largest Local Council’s in the Sydney Metropolitan area, experiencing a huge amount of growth and development.


Key accountabilities:
•             Develop and maintain council policies and procedures
•             Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships
•             Carryout fire safety upgrades and investigations referred to council by the NSW Fire Brigades
•             Ensure the development services branch operates effectively
•             Carryout building inspections, complying with relevant Act and Legislation
•             Liaise with relative parties such as builders, architects, engineers and developers

Essential criteria:

•             Must have A3 Certification or higher
•             Must relative qualifications in Building Surveying, Environmental health or equivalent
•             Must be familiar with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979
•             Strong written and verbal communication
•             Current Drivers Licence
