Job description

The purpose of the role is to provide infrastructure support and daily availability of the company application and infrastructure.
You will be responsible for all facets of the company’s infrastructure and virtualisation.


  • Ensure that all processing schedules and system backups are completed in a correct and timely manner.
  • Ensure daily availability the company’s core business applications.
  • Install, configure software and hardware.
  • Maintain an effective program of preventative maintenance of infrastructure components.
  • Establish and monitor high level of availability of VMWare environment.
  • Undertake adequate maintenance and support of Citrix environment and infrastructure.
  • Execute project related tasks in a timely manner and ensure timely and pro-active communications with the project manager.
  • Advanced Linux & Unix system administration.
  • Automation tools: Ansible & Docker.
  • Ensuring up to date knowledge of procedures, systems, and products.


Key Skills

  • 5+ years in a similar role.
  • Good working knowledge of Vmware.
  • Devops Automation.
  • Unix and Linux system administration.
  • Good working knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Bash scripting + Automation.
  • Advanced Linux & Unix system administration.
  • Automation tools: Ansible & Docker.



  • Ansible Tower or AWX experience.
  • Docker containers for intranet, pulse and Ansible.
  • Git repositories for digital and Ansible.
  • VEEAM architecture and Backup administration
  • Wordpress experience.
  • IIS and Apache web server knowledge.
