Job description

The purpose of the role is to provide infrastructure support and daily availability of the company application and infrastructure.

You will be responsible for all facets of the company’s infrastructure and virtualisation.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all processing schedules and system backups are completed in a correct and timely manner.
  • Ensure daily availability the company’s core business applications.
  • Install, configure software and hardware.
  • Maintain an effective program of preventative maintenance of infrastructure components.
  • Establish and monitor high level of availability of VMWare environment.
  • Undertake adequate maintenance and support of Citrix environment and infrastructure.
  • Execute project related tasks in a timely manner and ensure timely and pro-active communications with the project manager.
  • Veeam architecture and administration.
  • Enterprise SAN administration.
  • Ensuring up to date knowledge of procedures, systems, and products.


Key skills

  • Good working knowledge of VMWare 6.n.
  • Enterprise SAN administration.
  • Good working knowledge of Veeam Backup Software.
  • Unix and Linux system administration.
  • Understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking. VLANs, routing etc.
  • Good working knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Bash scripting + Automation.


Desirable

  • VxRAIL and components (ESRS and EMC recoverpoint).
  • IBM Storwize storage administration.
  • Ansible Tower or AWX experience.
  • Linux Redhat.
  • PCI-DSS compliance.
