Join a respected not-for-profit organization committed to community health as a Finance Assistant. You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager, providing essential support in financial reporting, budget preparation, and compliance with accounting standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining the financial health of the organization, ensuring resources are used efficiently to support its important mission.
The company offers hybrid work options, 2 days in the office and 3 days from home. The role is ideally a full-time position, but they would consider 0.8 FTE.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial reports for multiple business units, analysing budget vs actuals.
- Assist with the preparation of audit committee reports and financial statements.
- Reconcile general ledgers and support the year-end audit process.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including fixed assets and income releases.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial standards and government regulations.
- Support the Finance Manager with budget preparation, statutory returns, and audits.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure accurate financial operations.
- Degree in accounting or finance, with a solid understanding of budgeting and financial reporting principles.
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector, knowledge of Solver, Power BI, and SAP or similar accounting systems.
- Previous experience in a Finance Assistant role
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
