Are you an aspiring accountant ready to kickstart your career in a firm that genuinely supports your growth?We're currently recruiting for a progressive and people-focused accounting firm in Melbourne looking for a Junior Accountant to join their Business Services & Tax team. Whether you're a recent graduate or have up to 1–2 years of experience in public practice, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills across a broad range of clients and tax scenarios.
What you’ll be doing:
- Assist in preparing BAS, IAS, and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships
- Support the preparation of financial statements and compliance reports
- Help analyse financial data to support business decision-making
- Use cloud-based accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks)
- Communicate with clients to request documents or answer queries
- Learn directly from experienced Accountants, Managers, and Partners
What we’re looking for:
- Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance
- 1–2 years’ experience in public practice
- A keen interest in business services and tax
- Good communication skills and a team-first mindset
- Studying towards CA/CPA ( full support offered)
