What you’ll be doing
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements, income tax returns, BAS & IAS
- Managing a portfolio of clients and building long-term advisory relationships
- Reviewing work from junior accountants and bookkeepers (and helping them grow)
- Delivering tax planning, business structuring and proactive advice
- Ensuring all work is compliant with ATO, ASIC and Australian Accounting Standards
- Managing workflows, deadlines and job budgets with confidence
- Identifying smarter, more efficient ways of working (we love improvement ideas)
What we’re looking for
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or similar
- CPA or CA qualified (or working towards)
- Strong experience in Australian public practice
- Confident preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns
- Solid knowledge of Australian tax legislation and GST
- Experience with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and cloud-based systems
- A natural mentor who enjoys helping others develop
- Strong communication skills — clients trust you and juniors learn from you
