Job description

An established and reputable public practice accounting firm is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who is looking to continue developing their technical skills within a supportive and professional environment.

About the Role

Working closely with senior accountants and partners, you will gain hands-on experience across a broad client base and core compliance work.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparation of individual, company, trust, and partnership tax returns
  • Assisting with BAS and IAS preparation
  • Bookkeeping support using Xero / MYOB
  • Supporting senior staff with compliance and client queries
  • Maintaining accurate client records and working papers
About You
  • Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 6 months’ experience in public practice accounting
  • Australian Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship required
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
  • Intention to commence or continue CA or CPA studies
