Financial Controller

• Hybrid work, 3 days from office & 2 days from home   
• 6-month contract ( possible extension)
• $500 - $600 + super day rate 

My client is a well-known, leading multi-national  consumer goods company  in Australia. They are recruiting a Financial Controller who can immediately start.

You will be primarily responsible for 2 direct reports and 2 indirect reports under you. • Day-to-day management of a team of qualified accountants 
• Responsible for performing General Ledger reconciliations and taking responsibility for assigned balance sheet accounts.  
• Analysis of financial variances and cost centre allocations 
• Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all financial reports 
• Review of month-end reporting and complete general monthly accruals; obtain accrual information from various departments by month end. 
• Support the facilitation of all internal and external audit processes and act as a key point of contact for auditors 
• Responsible for preparation and filing of annual statutory accounts and quarterly board reports 
• Ad hoc work including process improvements 

Skills & Experience

• CA/CPA qualified
• Experience within a Financial Controller role at a large business
• Management experience
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Must be detail orientated
