  • Working for a leading not-for-profit based just north of Melbourne’s CBD
 

About the company:  

This opportunity is with a leading not-for-profit organization. You will be reporting into the Director of People and Culture and overseeing the following departments; Manager Recruitment Services; P&C Compliance Officer; Senior Business Partner; and Workplace Relations Manager.

The role is full-time, Monday – Friday. The organisation offers flexible hybrid working, the team tend to go into the office three times a week. Their head offices are based just north of the city.  

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Partner with the Director P&C to implement and monitor the P&C strategy and implement strategic workforce planning practices
  • Oversee P&C Operations to ensure contemporary HR practices are embedded and supported by a strong customer service mindset
  • Develop initiatives to strengthen employee’s experience across their employee lifecycle
  • Prepare reports for executive and board
  • Act as a trusted advisor providing timely support on all HR related matters for leaders, managers, and staff
  • Provide day to day coaching and leadership to direct reports
  • Ensure timely and productive discussions to identify learning and development opportunities
  • Further strengthen our performance culture, ensuring both current and future team members represent and embrace our values and position on social justice positively
  • Establish and measure performance KPIs across team
 

You will have the following:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or related field, or equivalent professional training and industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role and working in a large, complex environment.
  • Experience developing and implementing workforce strategies and initiatives that meet the organisation’s needs
  • High level knowledge of contemporary practices in the workforce areas, particularly in relation to recruitment and retention
  • Demonstrated experience across industrial and employee relations, including strong working knowledge of the SCHADS Award
  • • Significant experience as employer representative across various jurisdictions,
  • Prior experience working within the mental health sector, health, disability or community-based organisation
  • Demonstrated track record of providing people metric reports to Executive Team and Board
