You will be working for a Local Government authority based in the eastern suburbs, joining their strategy, people & culture department. Reporting into the Principal Safety, Wellbeing & Pandemic Response.

Initially contracted until the end of September but it could lead to further opportunities. You will be working hybrid, 1-2 days from home.

 

Your key responsibilities include:  

  • Providing timely and efficient administrative support and assistance to the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team across a range of functions
  • Managing / administering the OHS incident reporting
  • Coordinating the administrative duties related to OHS/HSW Committee meetings, including the scheduling of meetings, booking meeting rooms, preparing and distributing agendas, minutes and affiliated papers, and responding to Committee members for administrative requests relating to committee initiatives and activities
  • Coordinating bookings for HSW related training/workshops, including booking training rooms, arranging catering, room/equipment set-up, organising supplies and liaising with training providers
  • Collating and maintaining HSW data to assist with reporting and data analysis
  • Raising purchase orders and ordering and processing deliveries of HSW-related materials
  • Updating OHS noticeboards and staff intranet OHS pages
  • Assist the HSW team with project managing organisation wide improvement initiatives and projects
  • Process administrative tasks and information whilst ensuring privacy and confidentiality is maintained at all times, to ensure credibility and transparency within the organisation

 

You will have the following: 

  • Previous experience in safety and wellbeing is highly regarded
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement
  • Proficiency with general administrative processes & experience in a related field
  • Practical knowledge and understanding of underlying principles of OHS and Injury Management/Return to Work (RTW)
  • Previous experience with Elumina – QuickSafe highly desirable but not essential
