Our client, a local government authority in the western suburbs is looking for someone to join their people & capability team as an Organisation Development Practitioner. You'll play a key role in shaping leadership capability and enhancing organisational development initiatives.
This role is to start mid-March and is initially contracted until the end of May 2025. The role is part-time, 4 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement resources to support leadership capability across the organisation, ensuring managers are equipped with best-practice tools and strategies.
- Review and refresh the existing training program to ensure it aligns with current policies, processes, and organisational goals. Coordinate its delivery to new and existing employees.
- Work alongside key stakeholders to enhance the employee onboarding experience, ensuring a smooth and engaging introduction to the organisation.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of employee recognition initiatives, celebrating tenure and achievements across the workforce.
- Assess and improve existing digital learning content, ensuring it remains engaging, relevant, and aligned with organisational needs.
- Assist in establishing frameworks and initiatives that foster leadership growth, team collaboration, and succession planning.
- Work on process mapping and change management initiatives to enhance operational efficiencies and workforce capability.
- Conduct benchmarking and best-practice research to develop a structured approach for onboarding senior leaders.
- Degree or diploma with several years relevant experience in organisational development
- Proven results in working effectively and influentially with leaders and senior staff
- Experience in organisational development, learning, and leadership programs
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and contribute to strategic initiatives
- Background in local government or HR highly regarded
- 4-day workweek with a strong emphasis on work-life balance.
