Job description

  • Established Manufacturing of machinery and tooling based in the North West
  • Opportunity for an established accountant to undertake the accounting function for the growing business
  • $125,000 - $130,000 inclusive of super 

The Business:

A leading manufacturing company dedicated to producing high-quality machinery and tooling products for construction. With a rich history spanning over 25 years, the business has established themselves as industry leaders committed to innovation, sustainability, and excellence.

The Role:
● Preparing of financial/statements (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, and other standard
● Taking ownership of the Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets process.
● Review credit card transactions.
● Upkeep of fuel tank register for fleets.
● General ledger preparation and completing the closing cycle (fixed assets, payables, receivables, and all other associated entries) and Payroll reconciliations
● Cost control for projects
● Intercompany Reconciliation and confirmations, Payments, Accruals, Periodical cash management monitoring and forecasting.
● Monthly Board pack prepare and update presentation.
● Management of business loans liabilities review and reconciliation.
● Preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts and related balanced sheet reconciliations trusts, partnerships, and individuals including GST reconciliations.
● Quarterly BAS report.
● Overseeing day-to-day transactions.
● Establish and maintain internal controls and actively promote their improvement.
● Minimum 9+ years of relevant Australian general accounting experience.
● Experience supporting clients in the manufacturing industry is a nice-to-have.
● With great initiative to contribute to both professional and company advancement
● Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
● Ability in various accounting software, including MYOB EXO (Desirable) and Advanced Microsoft Excel.
● Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or any relevant field, CPA or Chartered Accountant is an advantage.
● Knowledgeable of BAS requirements incl. GST, PAYGW, FTC, etc.
● Ability to deal with inter-company scenarios.
● Expert in basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices.
● Demonstrated ability to develop and retain effective client relationships.
● Knowledge of bookkeeping solutions and Microsoft Office, i.e., Excel, Outlook.
● Well-developed interpersonal/communication skills
● Demonstrated ability to train accountants.
● Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and prioritize.
● Very keen attention to detail and high levels of initiative.
