Job description
Senior Fixed Asset Accountant | Financial Accountant | NSW State Government- 3 - 6 Months Contract (sick leave cover)
- $60.38 p/h + super
- CBD + WFH 3-4 days
- Collaborate with Senior Finance Business Partners to support key projects, offering insights that drive better financial decisions
- Review and monitor CAPEX and OPEX, assessing budgets to identify and track expenditures
- Conduct detailed analysis on capitalizable assets and ensure compliance with AASB standards, including AASB 16 (Leases) and AASB 137 (Provisions, Contingent Liabilities, and Contingent Assets)
- Review contracts and manage renewals, identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies
- Support the organization’s goals by providing timely and accurate financial insights that influence decision-making and promote fiscal responsibility
- Proficiency in CAPEX/OPEX analysis, budgeting, and asset capitalization
- Working knowledge of AASB standards, particularly AASB 16 and AASB 137 (beneficial)
- WIP Reporting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments, offering strategic financial insights that align with the organizations objectives.
- SAP (Myworkzone) beneficial but not a must
