Responsibilities of this position include:
- Contribute to infrastructure design and lead server implementations.
- Provide implementation and technical support for Citrix Server environment and associated applications such as XenApp, XenDesktop.
- Perform daily tasks to ensure the stability and optimisation of the server environments – Microsoft, VMware, IBM Cloud.
- Proactively identifying potential system issues before they become a problem, working with team members in deciding a resolution, and implementing the agreed upon resolutions
- Management, process automation, server installation/configuration, third-party application support including installations and configurations, and being the highest escalation resource for end-user support
- Experience in Networking protocols – Firewalls - Load balancing
- Responsible for scheduling, testing, and implementing enhancements or new releases of the server Operating Systems
- Work with other senior/lead system engineers to solve complex issues
- Work with other senior/lead system engineers to understand and implement IT infrastructure designs and rollouts
The ideal candidate will possess these requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication and consultative communication skills.
- System administration/engineering experience on Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
- High skill level with Citrix and most Operating System commands/utilities
- Fundamental understanding of clustering concepts, backup solutions, patching, system security standards, and virtualisation technologies.
