About the Role

  • Design, develop, support, maintain and manage City of Port Phillip’s digital and mobile solutions (including but not limited to the Council’s website and intranet, Library and Heritage websites).
  • Manage and customise Councils web forms and integration with applications.
  • Provide Support to Service Now for ITSM for Level 2 support for configuration or processing improvements.
  • Support the implementation of standards and procedures relating to the overall management of digital and mobile solutions.
  • Analyse business and technical requirements and map work to user requirements.
  • Work with the Business Analyst and network Engineer in recommending and designing structures and tools for digital and mobile solutions which meet Council and customer needs and takes into account target environment, performance security requirements, existing systems and technical architecture data.
  • Complete subsequent iterations to achieve customer/user-friendly processes for digital and mobile solutions.
  • Contribute to business performance and customer experience by identifying technical and process opportunities in improving digital and mobile solutions.
  • Provide day to day support services for logged Help Desk problems and requests for special support as agreed in Service Level Agreements.

 

Skills & Experience

  • SQL Experience (Essential)
  • Understanding of the life cycle of web applications (Essential)
  • 3-5 years Full stack experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is highly regarded.
  • Extensive experience in web development, design and coding is highly regarded.
  • Strong experience in development of mobile ready solutions
  • Strong experience of security principles and how they apply to E-Commerce applications is viewed favourably.
  • Strong experience in the application of the principles and practices of: JavaScript, SQL Server, JQuery, C#.Net, ASP.Net, HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, Web Programming Skills, E-Commerce, cross-browser compatibility, Web User Interface Design (UI), Security Principles, Object-Oriented Design, Web Services (REST/SOAP), Multimedia Content Development, API's is viewed favourably.
