Assistant Accountant

Job description

• $75,000 + super + benefits (parking, discounts)
• Hybrid role working with the entire finance matrix
• Permanent role with January start – Botony Location

About the Company
Our client is a Multinational FMCG company, working within the beverages sector, distributing some of the most well known drink brands. Located with their corporate head office in Botony. They are a large business with internal progression opportunities and high performing culture.

About the Role
This role is newly evolved and will be focused on many ad hoc duties, as well as the fundamental responsibilities including;

• General ledger & Bank Reconciliations
• Preparation of monthly journals and accounts
• Preparation of tax schedules
• Assist with statutory reporting
• Variance analysis
• Assisting with CAPEX and OPEX
• Identify and advise on expenditure
• General banking administration and support

Skills & Experience

• >2 years accounting experience in FMCG
• Capability to reconcile large accounts and reference source document in SAP
• Exposure to analysis and cost accounting; with interest to further develop
• Confident communication; the AA will support the entire finance matrix; giving great exposure and skills
• Advanced Excel
• Must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident to apply
