Job description
This recognisable national utilities business is at the fore of the next phase of its Digital Transformation programme which will see it undertake a number of technical initiatives. One such initiative is the transition of its current infrastructure from on-premises to a major Cloud, for which they require a commercially experienced Cloud Architect to oversee both key technical and business solutions.
Key Skills / Responsibilities:

Develop the cloud strategy and roadmap for implementation

Direct involvement in the transition from on-premises infrastructure to a cloud-hosted environment.

Mitigate the risks inherent in a cloud-infrastructure transition.

Work with the Enterprise Architect to oversee the implementation of complex cloud solutions.

Take key stakeholders on a journey to understand the benefits of moving to a cloud-based environment.

Engage with senior stakeholders for regular progress reports.
Requirements:

Experience in similar large-scale enterprises.

Hands on experience developing cloud architecture, including AWS and Azure.

Familiar with cloud products on the market and what is required in transitioning to a cloud-based environment.

Solid understanding of the implication on infrastructure, integration, applications, data, security and analytics.

Supreme communication skills to liaise with and influence senior internal stakeholders as well as external vendors and service providers.

Understand the benefits of moving to a cloud-based environment.

Strong commercial acumen; background in similar commercial projects is a must.
